While each project is unique, we approach all with the same design process.
First Steps
The design process starts with a site visit and initial consultation. Our approach is to listen carefully to what our clients are looking for in terms of function, design and planting. We hope to gain a thorough understanding of your objectives and desires for your outdoor space, as well as getting a feel for the existing area. Following this, a summary is sent to you, which outlines the fee structure, process, timeline, and the goals for the space.
After the initial consultation, we study the existing site for potential opportunities and any limitations.
During the site visit, we will measure your space, take photographs, and consider the elevation, drainage, and existing trees and plants. Site surveys and plot plans are obtained to create accurate plans.
Conceptual Master Plan
Conceptual designs are prepared for discussion with the client to ensure we are adhering to your vision and goals. Selections of the options and features within these proposals will be carried through to the final master plan.
Design Development
After agreement upon the initial concept design, 2D and 3D drawings are created. 2D scaled drawings are prepared to show you how the final outdoor space will look on your property. 3D image renderings are created to help you visualize the outdoor space from different angles.
Construction Documentation
Once the initial design has been approved, it is then developed into a package of detailed drawings and documents. Drawings are developed to share with the landscape contractors and to prepare a cost estimate. Documentation will include everything your project needs for construction, such as technical drawings, planting plans and final material selections.
Construction Administration
After the design is completed - it is time to bring it to life. Harbor Group provides full construction administration services for all projects from bid assistance, contractor selection, site walk throughs, and plant layout. We want to ensure the design is installed accurately and effectively to best serve our client’s needs.

We can source and supply pots, planters, furniture, sculpture and other styling elements for your outdoor space.
STEWARDSHIP
